Access Water Sources in Remote Locations with the Changeable Strainer
(CS) TurboDraft™ Unit

Tap Water up to 250’ Away & Generate 670+ GPM
The TurboDraft™ Fire Eductor from Schutte & Koerting allows fire companies to tap into remote water supplies like streams, ponds, swimming pools, and lakes that are up to 250’ away while generating usable fire flows up to 670 GPM or more using standard 5” LDH and 2½” fire hose.
The TurboDraft™ CS (Changeable Strainer) Fire Eductor provides fire departments with the option to connect to a wide selection of standard 6” NH strainers to meet any water supply situation. This unit will also improve the effectiveness of dry hydrants and vertical suction standpipes.

TurboDraft™ CS Operation
Usable fire flow amounts will vary depending on elevation and hose friction loss. More usable flow can be achieved, depending on hose friction loss coefficients or when 6″ large diameter hose is used. Schutte & Koerting recommends that field testing be conducted to confirm actual flow rates for each hose configuration. (See the table below for distant water source situation and baseline numbers).
